The price and location. The room was large and it had a refrigerator and microwave.
The furniture was horrible; old, scuffed up withtorn apholestry. It needs a major renovation.
I was supposed to get a non smoking room and that room smelled like an ash tray and had burn marks on the sheets. The most rude staff imaginable. They should knock their rates down to $45 a night for a place like that.
Staff was super friendly. It was a good price for GameDay. I liked that you can access the hotel via back roads and avoid the congestion after the football game.
The bathroom floor had not been cleaned. There was hair on the floor and it didn't look like the floor had ever been mopped under the counter. There is no elevator so if you have lots of luggage I would request a room on the bottom floor.
Bed and pillows
This place was much better than I expected. My husband thought the coffee was better than Starbuck's coffee.
The only thing I would say that could be improved are the towels. They were a bit rough to the skin.
I enjoyed the stay. It was quiet and the rooms were very clean !
nothing-would have moved but it was graduation weekend and no other hotels available.
Smelled like cigarettes throughout, unfriendly desk clerks, filthy room carpet, dirty and stained bed covers, dirty bathroom, too much to list here. Called manager numerous times before posting this and he would not respond.
the renovated bathroom
No elevator, walking up dirty, concrete stairs to our bedroom. Room needed to be updated, looked very old and tired. Will not stay there again. A nice pair of my ear rings disappeared while we were gone.
Clean decent breakfast large room
Bed was a bit hard Noisy over entrance
Wanted to get away from home for a night and I was comfortable
Bed was a little hard
Very close to campus and there are many restaurants in the immediate area. Also a Walmart and Sams.
It was game day so the prices are outrageous. We have the same hotel for graduation and it's a third of the cost.
The staff was really friendly and allowed us to check in after the ball game.
The toilet and tub had mold and the sheets and pillowcases had holes in them. Not worth the $200 a night rate they charged for a ball game night!
The room was very quiet. I did not hear any other room or hallway noise. Pillows were comfy. Air conditioner was quiet. Good location right off the highway, not far from the University - although not in Tuscaloosa.
Older room that was showing age. Could have been cleaner on the floor in the bathroom. Towels were thin.
Quiet Easy on & off Interstate
Bed Headboard was broken & screws were exposed & unsafe. Mold on ceiling over jacuzzi/bathtub Dirty walls (black smudgy handprints, etc) Toothbrush stuck in air conditioner Bathtub/shower very slippery Towels (scratchy & thin)
There was a refrigerator in the room and the shower was refreshing.
Hotel was not very clean. There was a huge dead bug on floor of bathroom the entire weekend!!! I was required to prepay for my whole stay upon arrival. It was over $300 for two nights! Certainly more than the $59 room rate posted on the sign outside. After midnight the only access to rooms was through side door--lobby was locked to residents while attendant sat behind glass window. During the day, hallway doors were left wide open to the outdoors--letting in extreme heat and lots of cigarette smoke. Room safes need to be removed according to desk clerk because they are all unusable! Hotel is pretty far away from campus--If this is the only hotel available next time I visit my UA college student, I would prefer to sleep on her dorm room floor!
